Masks brought us
together. Standing six feet apart in line for coffee the woman behind me
smiled, eyes twinkling behind her floral mask. I like your face covering she
said. You don't see red tie-dye much these days. Later, we shared our lattes at
separate tables outside and had fun. In fact, we're meeting again tomorrow. She
told me her favorite color so I'm bringing her a green tie-dye mask. The
pandemic just got bearable.
