After being slammed with rejections lately, I thought I'd share this
positive response from David Gardiner, at Gold Dust Review:

This is a very fine piece of writing, and I will be happy to accept it
for publication in Issue 37 of Gold Dust, due out about mid-June. I like
the suggestion that the narrator might be something a bit more than
human, without its being too explicit. The backdrop is also beautifully
painted. I see no need for an edit."
